Last month the UK gaming regulator announced a fresh batch of licences, and one of the newcomers that caught my eye was Patrick Spins. I logged in for a test run and found the app to be a tidy package, but not without its quirks.
What the App Offers
The Patrick Spins app delivers a compact catalogue of 120 slots, 15 table games, and a small selection of live dealer tables. The slot library is split into three tiers: classic fruit machines, themed storylines, and high‑volatility titles that promise big payouts. The highest‑paying slot, Dragon’s Fortune, has a maximum win of £12,500, which is impressive for a mobile‑only casino.
Deposits are accepted via Visa, MasterCard, PayPal, and a handful of local UK e‑wallets. The minimum top‑up is £10, and the bonus structure is straightforward: a 50% match up to £200 on the first deposit, plus a 1:1 match on the second. Withdrawals go through the same channels, with a 24‑hour processing window for card methods and up to five business days for e‑wallets.
Login Experience and Security
Getting into the game is simple. The Patrick Spins login page asks for an email and password, and a two‑factor option is available via a free app. The interface is clean, but the password field lacks a strength meter, which feels like a missed chance to encourage stronger credentials.
Security is handled by industry‑standard encryption, and the casino is licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. However, the terms of use mention a “reasonable suspicion” clause that could lead to account suspension if a player is deemed to be a “high‑risk user.” For most casual players, this is a non‑issue, but it does add a layer of uncertainty for those who might be on the borderline of the casino’s risk thresholds.
Pros and Cons at a Glance
- Pros: Quick payouts (24 hours for cards), generous welcome bonus, a solid selection of high‑paying slots.
- Cons: Limited live dealer options, no dedicated mobile app for iOS (web‑only), password strength indicator missing.
Real‑World Playtime
During my test session I played three slots and a blackjack table. The slot interface is responsive, with a spin speed of 1.5 seconds that feels neither sluggish nor too fast. The blackjack table offers a 1:1 payout for a blackjack, which is standard, but the dealer’s rules are a bit rigid: no split on aces and no double down after a split.
Customer support is reachable via live chat, and responses are usually within 30 minutes. I tested the chat by asking about a withdrawal delay, and the agent confirmed that the five‑day window for e‑wallets is standard. No hidden fees were mentioned, which is a relief.
Patrick Spins in the UK Context
As a UK player, the most attractive feature is the compliance with local regulations. The casino’s age verification process is thorough, requiring a government ID, which makes the platform feel more trustworthy than some offshore competitors. The bonus terms are also transparent: wagering requirements are 35x, and the bonus must be used within 30 days.
Final Spin
If you’re looking for a quick, mobile‑first casino with a decent bonus and solid payouts, Patrick Spins is worth a look. The app’s limited live dealer selection and the absence of an iOS app are the main drawbacks, but for slot enthusiasts and casual table players, it delivers on its promises.
